doesn’t that mean I make less?
Not at all. The costs for a company to advertise, recruit,
interview, screen, test and hire an applicant can range in the thousands of
dollars. Because of our management system Select Temp is
able to accomplish this process more efficiently. Our hire on demand system
prevent clients from spending more payroll than his workload requires.
The employer in turn pays us for the money and time saved.

I only want Temporary (or
part-time) work, can I still use Select Temp?
Absolutely, many clients want seasonal on part-time workers to get them
through special projects on seasonal surges.

How would I get paid?
You would be placed on our Select Temp payroll, and would be paid weekly
throughout the length of the assignment. Temp employees on long-term
assignments expected to last at least 5 months are eligible to receive their
pay via direct deposit.

Do you offer any training?
Yes, for those applicants who show potential but need more work on
specific skills, or for those who want to sharpen skills or learn new
ones. We offer a variety of computer and life skill classes.

What is Select Temp’s hiring
procedure?
When you apply to Select Temp you will complete an application and then be
tested on your measurable skills that may include typing speed, data entry,
spelling, bookkeeping, and knowledge of various software programs. You
will then be interviewed to review your work experience and background, as
well as to learn about your individual goals. After the interview, we
will evaluate the best possible scenario to match your needs with those of
our clients.

How does Select Temp screen its
applicants?
Beyond interviews and skills testing, Select Temp conducts our own
thorough, in house, education and employment verification check for each of
our applicants. Some companies require additional screening, background
checks and drug testing. Those requirements would also need to be
satisfied before you are sent on assignment.

How can I get started?
The first step is to fill out the interest form and you will be contacted
by a Select Temp account executive. This is a very thorough process so
you should expect to spend up to two hours at our offices.
